From his first job as a strawberry picker at Reeger’s Vegetable Farm to his time spent as an intern for Governor Tom Ridge’s Policy Office for Community and Economic Development, Dave has consistently demonstrated his strong work ethic.
Dave’s graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Master’s of Governmental Administration Degree, focused on effective and efficient government.
During his tenure in the House of Representatives, Dave has remained focused on the core governing principles of fiscal responsibility, energy independence and providing our families the opportunity to be financially secure.
A strong believer in the need to balance our economic necessities with our environmental responsibilities, Dave has been a constant supporter of environmental stewardship and commonsense policies that protect our natural heritage for future generations.
With his personal and educational experiences leading the way, Dave has taken the lead on legislation aimed at spurring economic growth and creating jobs in Pennsylvania. As one of the original sponsors of the Keystone Manufacturing Initiative (KMI), Dave has recognized the need to move legislation forward that ensures our working families can continue to prosper in the years ahead.
Dave currently serves on the Environmental Resources and Energy, Consumer Affairs, Finance and Appropriations committees and as the Republican chairman of the Subcommittee on Fiscal Policy. He also serves as co-chair of the House Republican Policy Committee Energy Task Force.
